Course Programme
Saturday: Day 1st
Meeting in Uvala baluni bb, Split at 11.00 am. The attendants will receive hand-books and will be acquainted with their instructors and the placement of the sailing boat in the same marina.
Revision of terminology and ship rigging
Sailing out and cruising towards the base in Milna on the island of Brač.
Upon the arrival in Milna – putting sails and rigging in order.
The attendants will be accommodated in the base, dinnertime, appointments for Sunday, questions and conversation, etc.
Sunday: Day 2nd
9.30 am - coffee break
Theory
11.00 am - early lunch
12.00 am - putting out
Maneuvering exercises under canvas
18.00 pm - returning to the base, putting sails and rigging in order
19.00 pm - dinnertime, comments, appointments for the next day
Monday: Day 3rd
9.30 am - coffee break
Theory
11.00 am – early lunch
12.00 am - putting out
Exercising how to put the ship to shore, sailing and cruising with spinnaker
18.00 pm - returning to the base, putting sails and rigging in order
19.00 pm – dinnertime, comments, appointments for the next day
Tuesday: Day 4th
9.30 am - coffee break
10.00 am – early lunch
11.00 am - putting out to one of the following destinations: Starigrad, Vis, Hvar, Maslinica. After the arrival– break – preparations for departure (independently, without instructor's help).
18.30 pm - returning to the base, putting sails and rigging in order
19.30 pm - dinnertime, comments, appointments for the next day
Wednesday: Day 5th
9.30 am coffee break
Theory
10.00 am – early lunch
11.00 am - sailing out and cruising to set destination (Šolta, Hvar or Vis). After arrival to the destination: setting the ship in order – break.
19.00 pm – dinner aboard, final preparations for night cruising towards the base in Milna. Putting out under canvas about 22.00 pm, arrival to the base at night, depending on weather conditions.
Thursday: Day 6th
The course attendants have the morning off.
12.00 am – early lunch
13.00 am – preparations for putting out without instructor's help.
14.00 pm – putting out independently, the instructor will follow the attendants with inflatable dinghies
18.00 pm - returning to base, putting the ship in order
19.00 pm - dinner and partytime
Friday: Day 7th
10.00 am –early lunch
11.00 am - putting out towards Split (regatta ), attendants work independently;
Arrival to Split by 15.00 pm; course attendants will be given diplomas and occasional gifts; Farewell.
