MEDJUGORJE - A PLACE OF HOPE AND FAITH
On June 24, 1981, a beautiful woman with blue eyes and dark hair covered with a white veil under a crown of stars showed herself to four girls and two boys. This woman with a gentle smile appeared to them on a grey cloud, dressed in a blue cloak. When the children asked her who she was, she simply answered, "The Blessed Virgin Mary." From that evening on she has been appearing to those same people in the local church of St. James. Her message is always the same: "Spread peace in the world."
Since the first apparitions back in 1981, millions of people of all faiths, from all over the world, have visited Medjugorje and have left spiritually strengthened and renewed.
